About the Dashboard

The CCG Critical Minerals Dashboard is developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge within the Climate Compatible Growth project, supported by the Cambridge Centre for Geopolitics (CCG). It is intended to support research, policy, and education by offering a transparent and interactive view of the spatial dynamics of mineral resources and their broader context.

The Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) program is a UK Aid-funded initiative that supports investment in sustainable energy and transport systems to meet development priorities in the Global South. Collaborating with leading universities such as UCL, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, and the Open University, along with organizations like the Centre for Global Equality and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, CCG aims to empower developing countries to create investment cases attracting climate finance for clean energy infrastructure. By fostering partnerships and building local capacity in energy modeling and analysis, CCG enables countries to make informed decisions on energy policy and infrastructure projects. As of June 2024, CCG received an additional £57 million from the UK Government, extending its operations until 2030 and expanding its partnerships to include Nepal and Malawi. (Source)
